Das jährliche DPG Meeting wurde vom 17. bis 22. März an der Technischen Universität München gehalten. Wissenschaftler der Forschungsfelder Plasmaphysik, Materie und Kosmos, sowie Laser Physik aus ganz Deutschland haben ihre neuesten Ergebnisse diskutiert. Die EP2 Gruppe nahm an der Veranstaltung mit 4 Präsentationen und 5 Postern teil.
An einem Nachmittag besuchte die Gruppe das Forschungszentrum Garching. Dort haben sie an interessanten Führungen am Tokamak Fusionsreaktor ASDEX, sowie am Neutralteilcheninjektor ELISE teilgenommen. Außerdem wurden sie durch das Labor der Niedertemperatur Gasumwandlungsgruppe geführt.
Neben dem wissenschaftlichen Programm, erfreuten sich die Bochumer PhDs an sozialen Events, wie dem Physics Slam oder dem öffentlichen Abendvortrag über den Ursprung des Universums.
Alles in allem, war es eine gute Konferenz mit fruchtbaren Diskussionen und Networking zu anderen deutschen Plasma Forschern.
From 17th
until 22nd March 2019 the annual DPG spring meeting was held at the
Technische Universität München. Scientists from the research fields plasma
physics, matter and cosmos and laser physics from all over Germany discussed
their recent results. The EP2 group attended
the conference with 4 presentations and 5 posters.
One
afternoon the group visited the Forschungszentrum Garching. Here, they attended
interesting tours at the Tokamak fusion device ASDEX as well at the neutral
beam injection system ELISE. Moreover, they had a lab tour at the low-
temperature gas conversion group.
Besides the
scientific program, the Bochumer PhDs enjoyed the social events such as physics
slam or the public evening talk about the origin of the universe.
All in all,
it was a good conference with fruitful discussions and networking to the other German
plasma scientists
